Inaugural Book Worms Meeting

The members of the Book Worms met for the first time last night and the meeting was great! We decided as a group on some things about the logistics of the group. See below. Thanks for the help everyone. It was appreciated!

2, When, where, and how often does the book club meet?
The Book Worms meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Second Cup at 11210 JASPER AVENUE at 7:30pm. The next meeting will be on May 20, 2009 @ 7:30pm where we will be discussing The Front Runner by Patricia Nell Warren .


3, What book are we reading?

4, When and how are books chosen?
Books will be chosen 3 months in advance. At the next meeting on May 20 each of the members will bring 3 book suggestions, one suggestion for each of the three upcoming months. Each member describes their book and the group chooses which particular book will be read for each of the next 3 months. On the May 20th meeting, books will be chosen for June, July, and August 2009.


5, Can new members and guests to attend the book club?
Yes. New members and guests are welcome to attend and bring a friend!


6, Who decides the book discussion questions?
All members bring each 2-3 questions to the meetings for book discussion.


7, What are the expectations of the book club?
Get involved in reading, have fun, meet people, and enjoy a welcoming atmosphere.


8, Can club members/guests still attend when they have not finished the book?
Yes. They can attend too!


9, What types of Literature we will read?
All types…Fiction, Non-Fiction, Science Fiction, Westerns, Fantasy, Sociological, Plays/Productions, Journal/Magazine articles.
